Yes, I have fallen of the face of the earth. At least the earth as defined by internet social networking sites.
There is no TV. There is no editing, no writing, no rewriting. There is only Yom Kippur (25 hours of internet-free existanse) and the exam I have Wednesday night (...more hours of internet-free existanse than even the holiest of holidays for me).
I've fallen to woefully behind on my flist I dare not look at it lest I have the desire to catch up and spend the "free" hours I do have not studying for the first massive exam of my graduate career. My sister's spent the past week harping on how I just have to watch Studio 60, and there's new Doctor Who on my DVR, and I'm pretty sure Veronica Mars premieres this week, but I can't even turn on the TV to watch Jon Stewart or Keith Olbermann despite the flimsy justification that that's actually news I should be paying attention to.
Don't even ask me about books or reading. I read a few snatches of Swordspoint in the middle of my fast yesterday because Drs. Watson, Baker, Bell, etc just weren't doing it for me, and I had a killer migraine coming on.
Please don't interpret this entry as complaining - I'm not. I'm having the best time I've had in two years professionally, but it translates into a total commitment to what I want out of my professional life right now. So if you don't see me around for a while, you know why.
