I've had a shitty day. My car wouldn't start, I had to go through downtown Boston during rush hour(s) because of it. Then I got a teensy bit lost.

The best thing today was the Daily Show, and even that had not the power to cheer me.

So help me out here, something amusing?

Sorry about the bad day! Perhaps you'll get a bit of amusement out of this quote (http://www.time.com/time/quotes/0,26174,1279396,00.html)?

Hey, at least you didn't find a dead raccoon on your front lawn this afternoon?

I'm guessing, anyway.

Currently I don't have a front lawn, so you're correct.

However, when I was still young enough to get picked up by the schoolbus, my mom woke me one fine, winter morning to inform me that a raccoon had been decapitated at the edge of our driveway, and the village clean-up crew wouldn't get there before my pickup time. So I had to stand out there with a decapitated raccoon body, and the bus ran late.

Then there was the time we went on two weeks vacation only to find a deer died on our back yard and stunk up the place decomposing.

These and other anecdotes brought to you by teenage years spent in super-rural Ohio. :)

Clearly, there is something wrong with you if the Daily Show, nor Family Guy cheered you up. Perhaps the Colbert Report?

I'm sorry you had a shitty day. But just think, chances are, I'm having a shittier day than you, every single day. In therapy they told us that thinking that other people have it worse can sometimes make you feel better. Some crazy people objected to this as being immoral.

Anyway...I looked up the Greyhound for Boston from Philadelphia. It's 8hrs at a minimum. Can you believe it? I thought it would be 4 hrs. at most. Bah. That means I can't just come any random weekend. :(

Ew, that is a lot. And flying isn't going to take any less time, unfortunately.

They probably stop a lot.
