For those poor souls on my friends list who, like me, are still waiting for UPS to deliver their damn book:

I called the UPS office, and they told me that the trucks will be delivering books until 6PM tonight.

Huh. Last time, I ordered from Amazon. The postal service had the book to me before noon. (This time, I stood in line.)

Next time, I may consider just going to Wal-Mart/Target or something. Apparently those sorts of stores had piles and no lines, including the 24 hour ones. (Based on reading LJ and not personal experience.)
