Slightly MIA

Spending time in New York this weekend for real-life fun. However, an amusing anecdote:

I recently got a new laptop (Sony Vaio), and hadn't put on all the software from my old one yet. I took a bunch of picture's last night, and Doyle's mom wanted to see them. I thought "okay, I'll go on the internet, download the software, install it, upload the pictures from my camera, show."

I wait for Doyle to come out of the shower so that he could sign me onto the network, sat down with my computer and my camera, and suddenly remembered that 1. the pictures are on a SD card and 2. the computer comes with a built-in card reader.

Sometimes I'm smarter than myself. I just wish that I remembered these times when I'm especially dense.

It took me a few minutes to figure out who Doyle is, and where is your boyfriend, while you are so casually mentioning waiting for another guy to come out of the shower.

Hee. I tried getting something that'd be easily identifiable for people who know him irl, but he liked "Doyle" so Doyle it is. (I mentioned in a previous entry that I was sick of writing "my boyfriend" every few sentences.)
